It is indeed a strange situation. After the update my laptop is finally able to run Guild Wars smoothly with 4x AA and native screen resolution. However, I discover that it only happen if I start the client and log in with 4x AA enabled. If I were to change the AA settings in game to "none" then reset it to 4x the low fps gameplay is revived! Thus I believe this is only a temporary fix by Anet, there is still some issue with Guild Wars, Nvidia, and Vista.
Here's my laptop stats if I haven't mentioned it before...
Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200
2 GB RAM
100G Harddrive

The new version did not fix my problem. When I minimize and restore the performance is low, especially in graphics-heavy area's.

I'm in contact with tech support to get my issues solved. They still need to do quite some testing with Vista since it's a new operating system. When I get more details I'll post them.
@Lonesamurai: Congrats

@viper11025
Thanks, I read your posting there earlier, also checked the speed-up-vista guide. I do not implement all recommendations there; things like disabling services usually give more trouble than it solves, especially when you have enough RAM.
But I did update drivers, manage startup programs, chkdsk, defragment, lose old programs, install and update security software (antivirus, anti malware, firewall) etc.

Good.
Set your stuff as low as possible then play with it.
That's how I did it.
